Harvest Spheres for Thanksgiving Decor

Bring the beauty of the harvest indoors with these fun decorative spheres. They can be displayed as part of a centerpiece, individually or grouped with other harvest items such as gourds, cornhusks and pumpkins.

What you will need:

1. Three 2 ½ inch Styrofoam spheres
2. Spanish moss
3. Birdseed
4. Hot glue gun
5. Glue sticks
6. Two pinecones

Directions:

1. Begin plugging in the hot glue gun and making sure that it has glue in it.
2. While the glue gun is heating up, carefully remove the "petals" of the pinecone either by pulling or using pruning shears.
3. Use the glue gun to glue the pieces of the pinecone onto one of the spheres so that they overlap like the shingles of a roof.
4. Use the glue gun to cover another sphere in Spanish moss.
5. For the third sphere pour birdseed onto a paper plate.
6. Cover a small part of the sphere with glue.
7. Quickly roll the sphere in the birdseed and push slightly so that the birdseed adheres to the sphere.
8. Continue doing this until the entire sphere is covered.
9. Let all of the spheres dry completely, then arrange as desired.
